How to get to Cappadocia metro

From Ataturk Airport to Taksim Square is the easiest and fastest way to get there by metro, with one transfer. Click the subway map to zoom in and save it to your smartphone.
After exiting the arrival zone at Ataturk Airport, you need to go to the building where the end station of the red line M1a metro station is located. It is not necessary to bypass the building – inside there are also transitions and descent underground.

The Istanbul Metro can be paid for with tokens, which will be more expensive, but you can also pay with a special İstanbulKart plastic card. You can buy it in a special machine, which are installed at the entrance to the subway. The security value of the card is 6 lire. It can be returned and refunded. When using Istambulkart the cost of travel on the metro in Istanbul is significantly reduced. For example:
The first trip on the subway will cost not 3 lira (token), but 1.95,
the second will cost even less – only 1.25 Turkish lira,
third – 1
subsequent trips and even cheaper – at 0.75.
It is very simple to use the machine – the menu in three languages: English, German and Turkish. Bill acceptor accepts bills in 5, 10 or 20 lire. It is advisable to estimate in advance how much you need to travel, as the machine does not issue the change – everything that came into the bill acceptor will be on the card. To find out the balance of the card, you must put it in a special window. The balance of this card will be displayed on the screen of the machine, and you can immediately replenish your account.
After passing through the turnstile you get to the platform.
The red line (A and B) has two end stations. From here the train goes to the Yenikapi terminus. There the red line intersects with the green M2. We just need to get on the green line. On it you need to get to the station Taksim (4th stop). Before it, the subway train will come to the surface and cross the Golden Horn Bay on the bridge.
Coming out of the subway to the surface, you will find yourself right on the main square of the city of Taksim. If you still have time left, you can take a walk through this part of the city: take a tram ride along Istiklal Street, eat kebabs, sit in a cozy cafe for a small cup of Turkish coffee and even walk to the Galata Tower. What else can you see in Istanbul, I already wrote.
