Canine refuted the existence of dangerous breeds dogs
Dangerous dog breeds do not exist, only certain individuals can pose a threat to humans. This was announced by the President of the Russian Cynological Federation (RKF) Vladimir Golubev, reports the agency “Moscow”.
“Individuals can be dangerous, not generic and pedigree groups – especially if we are talking about factory breeds, in the standard of each of which the manifestation of aggression is referred to as a disqualifying defect that takes the dog out of breeding,” he stressed.
The head of the RKF Champion added that the federation is currently developing initiatives to create a system of responsible dog breeding at the legislative level.
In early March, the Ministry of Internal Affairs submitted a list of dangerous dogs whose walking without a muzzle and a leash would be prohibited. It includes breeds that possess “genetically determined qualities of aggression and strength, as well as breeds used for baiting, and native breeds in which no selection was made for loyalty to humans”. In particular, the list mentions Shar Pei, Doberman Pinscher, Rottweiler, German and East European Shepherd Dogs.
